Teac V-909RX Auto Reverse Stereo Cassette Deck.Very nice looking and sounding deck.But also very complicated and a bit over engineered and high maintenance.This one has the usual issues with these.The main one being the damn level meters.Though no single bar is out like on many,no amount of adjustment will make the left lights keep up with the right.Sound from both channels is loud and clear in playback.Record may need some gain adjustment.Dbx sometimes doesn't work properly.It sucks anyway.The reel brakes are these molded rubber things that have essentially turned to goo.However,despite all,the deck transport and playback are of a top notch in operation.Rewind and FF,as well as auto reverse,all work flawlessly.I've used it regularly because it plays great,and I don't care about it's personality problems.But I can't sell it as properly functioning because it does have minor issues.This Deck is beautiful,and a pro performer.It just needs someone willing to give it a little service and I don't have time to mess with it.This is for parts or repair only my friends!!!!No guarantees.
